This page explains how Freelance Dhaka prepares its guides and how the site is funded. Read it together with the editorial policy, how we use AI and the affiliate disclosure.
Where the facts come from
Guides are based on public sources: the providers’ own pages (fees, terms, availability by country), help centres, official documents and published data. Where a guide says “checked on” with a date, that is the date the source was read. A figure we cannot trace to a dated source is not published.
What we check
- Fees, limits and terms of platforms and payment services, always with the date they were read.
- Whether the service is available to readers in Bangladesh. For example, Wise does not give residents of Bangladesh USD account details (Wise Help Centre, checked 26 October 2026), so our guides do not present it as a way to receive dollars from clients.
- That every affiliate link is marked “Ad” and leads to the brand named in the text.
What we do not do
- We do not open accounts or spend our own money to test services, unless a page clearly says so.
- We do not invent experiences, measurements, test results, testimonials or experts. Pages are signed “Freelance Dhaka Editorial”.
- We do not sell places in a list or favourable coverage.
How commissions influence what we show
Freelance Dhaka is free to read and is funded by affiliate links. The offers we highlight with a link come from programs that pay us a commission, and that commission influences which ones we highlight. Today these are British Council English Online, Udemy, Payoneer, NordVPN and 365 Data Science. We also describe services that pay us nothing. You pay the same price; the provider pays the commission.
Older guides
Many guides were written before October 2026 and are being reviewed. Until then, treat their figures as a starting point and confirm them with the provider. Changes and corrections are in the corrections log.
